Directors of Team7Racing and Quickbits

Jay and Kate are Directors of Team7Racing and Quickbits Revival work together as a husband and wife team.

They pride themselves on offering an excellent service for their customers with a relaxed family environment for everyone to enjoy.

Out of racing, Jay and Kate like spending time with family and friends. They have four children which they support in their hobbies like cycling, football and gymnastics.

Iain Rooney

Senior Mechanic Saloon/Historic

Iain joined the team over race weekends in 2019.

This then progressed to him working as part of the team at the our workshop facility in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

Iain has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of Motorsport specialising in Saloon and Historic.

In his spare time Iain likes to spend time with his family and walk his dog.

Rod & Diane Barrett

Rod has been involved in motorsport for over 20 years, and has raced with team Director Jay Shepherd throughout.

Rod has raced in Championships such as TVR Tuscan, British GT, Britcar, FunCup and Historic.

Rod not only races within the team, he is also a very influential member of the team, not only on circuit, but behind the scenes.

Gary Nicholls

Senior Mechanic Saloon/Historic/Rally

Gary initially joined the team in 2018 at ad hock race weekends. This since progressed in him being one of our workshop based mechanics.

Having owned his own motorsport company and personally Rallied, Gary specialises in Historic Race and Rally cars including Group B.

In his spare time, Gary likes to spend time in his garden and relaxing with friends.

Tony Hart

Operations Manager Team7/Quickbits Revival

2020 will be Tony’s 3rd season with Team7Racing as Team Manager over race weekends.

He has now joined Team7 HQ part time as Operations Manager.

Tony brings a wealth of knowledge having run his own race team since the 1980’s.

He has won many races in his Renault 5 GT Turbo, Clio Cup, Megan, Hill Climb and Rally.

Chris Tye

Senior Mechanic Saloon/Historic

Chris joined Team7Racing early 2018. He has very quickly become an invaluable member of the team.

Workshop based at our new premises in West Hallam and brings with him a wealth of knowledge in Motorsport from Saloon to historic cars.

Chris will be attending all race weekends as one of our senior mechanics in the team.

Living in Nottingham, Chris works on cars in his spare time, and enjoys music and gigs.
