Novice Jon King finished 14th in his first ever race

Novice Jon King finished 14th in his first ever race with co-pilot Jay Shepherd. Jon only took his ARDS test a month ago with Bookatrack Donington ARDS School and a few weeks later was sitting in his FunCup car ready to start his first ever race!! ‘it felt very surreal’ said Jon.

The season opener was a 4 Hour Endurance at Oulton Park.  There was a 29 strong grid, and Fun:Bikes1 car 195 was pulled to start the race 4th on the grid.

‘Jon did amazingly well for his first race of the season, he kept the car on the black stuff and grew in confidence throughout the race’ says team director Jay Shepherd.

Jon is really looking forward to the double header at Anglesey on 28th April.

Jay Shepherd to race Jaguar D Type at Silverstone Classic

Jay Shepherd and Rod Barrett

Jay Shepherd and Rod Barrett had the pleasure of racing the beautiful Jaguar D Type at the Silverstone Classic last month.

This amazing car had not been driven since 1954 and although they started dead last on the grid... they still managed to finish 13th overall.

'The car needs a lot of set up work' says Jay 'but I have to say I loved racing his car, it is just amazing and I can't stop smiling!'

The car is undergoing various set up work and changes as advised by Jay and Rod - and both drivers are looking forward to racing this car a lot more in the very near future!

We will keep you posted on it's success.
